In
an excerpt from “I Know the Truth, So Don't Bother Me with Facts”
written by Jeffrey Kluger, it has been stated that people are “easily
deceived by rumors and flat-out lies. The topic of discussion was
regarding the “supposed planned mosque at Ground Zero” in downtown
Manhattan. In order to gain a perspective on how realistic this point of
view truly is regarding false beliefs, a research study was conducted
at Ohio State University by R. Kelly Garrett and Erik Nisbet to study
the false beliefs and what would it take to change people’s point of
view regarding such false beliefs.
The two conclusions
that were drawn from the study were 1) peoples belief systems are easily
manipulated when shown devious pictures or inflammatory quotes; 2) a
small percentage of people are willing to change their point of view
despite finding out the “facts” were false.
We don't really understand but those things can affect people life and affect our society that can cause some people become violence, when you start talk bad about other people that is very discourage to them. However, it would of being better when we take our time to really no what is going on. when people take they time to learn the real facts of the story that is when they should talk about it. But not just talk about about false statement. that how alot of people get n trouble with them knowing sometime that can't be really bad for some people.
It is important that people not that talking about thing that not true can be really bad so they best way to deal with it before anybody said anything they should get to no the story first.that would help a lot of us out and would stop parent from abusing they kids or kids to be more respectful to they parent.
